Leftover dried paint that turns into something beautiful to see
5x5, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
The dried paint was scraped off my pallet that I used to mix and apply to other paintings. I love what comes up form the dried paint. Its like a present. Its a wonderful surprise to see the outcome.
Purples and blues make up the one piece that I wrapped around the canvas. I see mountains and lakes from a birds-eye view.
Blue chips with some yellow and red make up the abstract look. At times when I see this work it reminds me of a colorful map of islands or waterways.
5x7, acrylic on paper
I put this together using similar blues and whites with orange as a pop of color to bring some contrast.
Scrap #3- Dancing Man
This painting was one of the first. Placing different pieces of paint at angles and overlapping gave the feel of a whirling figure moving to music, my dancing man.
scrap #19- Curtains
Taking strips of dried paint. The layering of the pieces have an affect of fabric draped on each other. The colors pop with abstract vibrancy.
Scrap #12- Flower
5x5, acrylic on paper
I had these pieces of paint for awhile before I saw that it could become this painting. A total of seven pieces make up this image.
